Wednesday night, August, 29th, many homes burned to the ground in a terrible fire in Roatan's West End Village. The small peninsula was home to The Lighthouse Restaurant and many wooden homes along its bank. The fire lashed through the structures rapidly as home owners fled for safety. There were no deaths but everyone lost all they had in the world.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families and children involved. Fund Raisers are being scheduled as we speak to help the homeless families.
